Product Description
This Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute (Ref. 806) houses a Venus 178 manual chronograph movement only used in the Navitimer watches from 1956 into the early 1970’s. The dial and lume show signs of patina and there is a light amount of scratching on the face of the crystal. There are a few signs of wear and tarnishing on the gold-plated casing, specifically around the back side at the connection to the bracelet and by the crown. The watch features a rare twin plane logo, with panda sub dials. The 24-hour dial was designed by the request of Scott Carpenter for the Aurora 7 mission which is where the name “Cosmonaute” came from. The bracelet is a Black Leather Eulit Zeppelin 22mm with a stainless-steel buckle. This is a great quality vintage watch in great working condition and would make a great addition to any collection.
